Q In Weeks 1 and 2, you utilized prewriting strategies to generate new ideas for writing and early thoughts for the topic for your Academic Essay. These strategies can be highly effective in determining a topic for a new writing product. For this assignment, choose one of the prewriting strategies you used previously, such as clustering in MindMeister or freewriting in MS Word, or perhaps select a new strategy from the Week 1 readings you have not yet tried. Review the potential topics you generated in Week 2. Set a timer for 5 minutes and use the strategy to generate five topics for your Academic Essay. Then review the potential topics you have identified and circle the top three choices that you are most interested in pursuing for the Academic Essay. Circle them or mark them as 1, 2, and 3. Take a screen capture of your prewriting for submission, and insert the image into a Word document. Below the image, explain the order of preference and specifically focus on your first choice. Your explanation should be at least one full paragraph of 4–5 sentences. Be sure to save a copy to the course repository you have established for your final topic choices.
